Well, I got side tracked watching a family ride their bikes down a sidewalk looked back to the road and there was a stationary volvo. I smacked it pretty hard. It was a trashed early 2000’s volvo sedan, (S80 or S60). I’m pretty sure it’s totaled and is not driving home.
Mechanically the truck is actually okay, I drove it home. The front end damage to the driver quarter is pretty bad, the whole front drivers side is pushed back about 2”. I am considering just getting a fender and hood then gluing on a new blinker light.
This is really shitting timing, I just did a full tune up and had a new exhaust system installed. The truck has 125k on the ODO and is a good daily driver, it is also amazing in the winter when there is 3-feet of snow on the ground.

It’s a flesh wound.

Slap on some new sheet metal, hammer the rest close, and you’re good to go.

Just fix it. A junk yard fender and hood and some mild persuation with a BFH and you’re good to go. Might even get a marker light with the fender if you’re lucky.

Late ‘80’s, early ‘90’s Japanese pickup = indestructable. A new fender, a new light and a new hood and it’ll be good for another 125K! :)

It’s like a tank, a small tank granted but still a tank.
